Introduction

Welcome to AUDDY’s privacy policy
AUDDY respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you about the way in which Auddy looks after your personal data when you visit our website https://Auddy.com (“Auddy Website/s”) and it will tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

AUDDY’s websites are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

It is important that you read this privacy policy together with any other privacy policy or fair processing policy we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you – so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This privacy policy supplements other notices and privacy policies and is not intended to override them.

Who we are
We are AUDDY Limited (“Auddy”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the data controller responsible for your personal data.

When was this policy last updated?

This notice was last updated in June 2026.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you use and interact with our Websites we may collect

When you use and interact with our Auddy Websites, we collect personal data such as:

  • contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number and address; and
  • user account information, such as your username and other profile information;

to fulfil our contract with you to create and maintain your account, including to send you service-related messages (Art. 6(1)(b) EU GDPR, performance of a contract).

When you make a payment

Our payment providers will use your payment information, such as your bank details and billing address, to process your payment and complete your transaction. We do not have access to your payment information beyond your name, email address, address, and details of what you purchased. We collect this personal data to perform our contract (Art. 6(1)(b) EU GDPR), in our legitimate interests to know what you have purchased (Art. 6(1)(f) EU GDPR), and to meet our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) EU GDPR) to hold proper accounting records.

To send you marketing

Where you have previously expressed an interest in Auddy (and not opted out of marketing) we may use your name and email address to send you marketing about our products, services, events, and related content – a cross a range of formats – that we think you might be interested in, because it is in our legitimate interests to promote our business and engage with our audience. Processing is based on our legitimate interests, except where applicable law requires consent.

Where you have opted in to receive marketing, we may use your name and email address to send you marketing in line with the preferences you have provided and will only use your personal data in this way with your consent.

You can unsubscribe from receiving marketing at any time with effect for the future by contacting us at DataPrivacyManager@auddy.co or by following the unsubscribe link in any marketing communication you receive from us. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal.

Contact forms
When you contact us with a query, either by email, via an online form, social media, or by phone, we may collect your name, social media handle, contact details, job title and company, and any other information you choose to share with us as part of your communication because it is in our legitimate interests to make sure we can properly respond to your query, including to provide technical support (Art. 6(1)(f) EU GDPR).

Cookies and similar technologies
When you use the Websites, we may collect information using cookies and similar technologies about your device and how you use the Auddy Websites. For example, we may collect your device identification number, browser type and version, operating system and platform, hardware used, browser plug-in types and versions, IP address (which may reveal your location), URLs, referrer URL, date and time of access, information about page response times, length of visits to certain pages, interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), error reports and performance data (“Device Information“).

We may use your personal data contained within this Device Information using strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies because it is in our legitimate interests to ensure the proper use, functioning, maintenance and security of our Auddy Websites (6(1)(f) EU GDPR).

When you use our Auddy Websites and consent to our use of non-essential cookies and similar technologies, we may use the personal data contained within your Device Information with your consent to improve our Auddy Websites and to better understand how people use them (Art. 6(1)(a) EU GDPR). Further information about the information we collect and how we do this is set out in our Cookie Policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on Auddy Websites may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) from providers such as Youtube, Megaphone, Podtrac, Pdst.fm, and Podscribe. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Those other websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that other website. The processing of data by such providers is their sole responsibility as independent controllers; please refer to their respective privacy policies. Where the integration of a service results in jointly established processes with the provider, we enter into an arrangement on joint controllership pursuant to Article 26 EU GDPR, which defines the respective roles, responsibilities, and data protection obligations of the parties. We will provide you with the essence of the arrangement, where relevant, before your personal data will be processed.

Analytics
The only analysis that we will perform is to count the number of name/valid email combinations that have been contributed to each Auddy Website over specific periods (weekly, monthly, annually) based on your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) EU GDPR) or our legitimate interest improving our services and understanding how our Auddy Websites are used (Art. 6(1)(f) EU GDPR). Any summary reports that are created will include only aggregated and summary data (number of new requests for each list, number of “un-subscribe” instructions for each list) and no personal data.

Social Media

We use social media platforms such as LinkedIn to (i) present ourselves on social media, (ii) stay in contact and interact with you, and (iii) analyse how our social media content is received so that we can design and optimise it accordingly. When you interact with us on social media platforms, we may receive and process social media data (“Social Media Data”) from platform providers or directly from you. Depending on the platform, Social Media Data may include (i) reach metrics such as impressions, page views, profile visits, unique users, and access to subpages, (ii) audience insights such as demographic information, follower growth, and trend analyses over time, (iii) engagement data such as impressions, reactions, click-through rates, likes, shares, comments, link clicks, engagement rates, saves, retweets, and replies. We process Social Media on legitimate interest corresponding to the purposes mentioned above or your consent. Please note that the social media platform providers are generally responsible for compliance on their platform and we are only responsible to a limited extent. We are active on LinkedIn, LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. Information on data protection at LinkedIn can be found at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy. Information on joint controllership and the associated agreement can be found at https://legal.linkedin.com/pages-joint-controller-addendum. We have agreed that: (1) we are joint controllers with LinkedIn for the processing of Page Insights data; (2) LinkedIn will assume primary responsibility and is principally responsible for providing you with information about the joint processing and enabling you to exercise your rights under the EU GDPR; (3) the Irish Data Protection Commission will be the lead supervisory authority overseeing the processing under joint controllership.

Remarketing

We may use remarketing technologies on our website based on your consent. Remarketing enables us to display personalized advertising to visitors of our website on third-party websites and platforms based on their previous interactions with our online offerings and advertising. Remarketing may involve profiling to determine which advertisements to display to you based on your interactions. This allows us to show you interest-based advertisements that are relevant to you and your browsing behavior. In the context of our remarketing activities, we may process device information (e.g., device type, operating system, browser type and version), IP address (in anonymized or truncated form where applicable), cookie identifiers and similar tracking identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage data (e.g., pages visited, time spent on pages, click behavior), user profiles based on browsing behavior. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

  • other group companies (e.g., Auddy LLC in the United States) and their employees
  • partners and service providers, including payment processing companies, cloud storage (e.g., our CRM system) and hosting providers and other IT-providers, and analytics and advertising companies, to help us provide and improve the Auddy Websites and operate our business for the purposes detailed above.
  • Regulators/ Authorities/ Enforcement Agencies, if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect our, our customers’ and others’ rights. How long we retain your data
We will only store your personal data for as long as we need to for the purposes it was originally collected, or as required by statutory retention obligations. To determine our storage periods, we particularly use the following criteria:

If you choose to opt-in to receive specific information from us about new Auddy shows, already running Auddy shows and/or our Newsletters, we will retain your name and valid email address until such time as you withdraw your consent or request us to delete your name and valid email address from specific lists, or all list/s, on which that data had been placed per your earlier opt-in instruction.

You may opt-out (requesting that your name is removed from specific -or all – lists) via the opt-out form on each Auddy website or by opting-out via the “unsubscribe” link included in any email that we send to you.

For users that register on an Auddy website by providing their name and a valid email address, we will store the personal data that they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

In some circumstances we may carefully anonymise your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you.. Anonymised data does not constitute personal data and may be used by us without time limitation to improve our Websites and business practices.

Data that we retain to comply with statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial and tax law) will be stored for the legally prescribed period (typically 6 to 10 years). We also retain data for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

WHERE DO YOU STORE MY PERSONAL DATA?

We store your personal data on third party servers. When working with third parties, we may need to transfer your personal data outside of the UK.

In addition, it may be necessary to transfer your personal data to other countries outside the European Union (EU) / the European Economic Area (EEA) .

Whenever we transfer your personal data outside of the UK or the EU/EEA, we ensure it receives appropriate protection as required by law by relying on, for example, an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses or other appropriate safeguards. To keep this notice as short and easy to understand as possible, we have not set out the specific circumstances in which each of these protection measures are used. You can contact us using the details below for more information about this.

What rights you have over your personal data

You may have various rights under applicable data protection laws, depending on your home jurisdiction. This may include the right to:

  • access your personal data (also known as a “subject access request”);
  • correct incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you;
  • ask us to erase the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to restrict our handling of your personal data;
  • ask us to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit that data to another controller;
  • object to how we are using your personal data; and
  • withdraw your consent to us handling your personal data at any time with effect for the future. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal.

You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk),  or any other data protection supervisory authority. We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO or a data protection supervisory authority. So please contact us in the first instance, using the contact information above – and we commit to addressing the matter promptly.
